YouTube video: Mini6410 GPIO test

Hi all,

In this video I show a simple test of GPIO connector signals. I compiled linux kernel 2.6.28 witrh GPIO device driver and I connected the 4 GPE I/O signals to the breadboard. The I/O signals are read/written by a Qt 4.6.1 application.

You can find the video here.

Soon I will try an I2C chip to extend Mini6410  I/O capabilities (Digital I/O and Analog I/O)

Mini6410 Gpio

Hi Paolo

Am a new bee. Does Mini6410 board come with built in Linux drivers for Gpio if not could you please help me how do that.

Thank you.

Mini6410 GPIO

Hi,

yes, the GPIO driver is available, you have to recompile the kernel and include it as a device driver.

Here a couple of links about "how to use the GPIO"

if you need more details about re-compiling the kernel for mini 6410 I'm going to write a little tutorial on this topic. I need some time to complete it, so please be patient ;-)

Bye
